Vincent M. DeNinis, O.D.
Dr. Vincent DeNinis is originally from Vestal, NY, a town in Upstate NY, where he spent his childhood and early adult years. He graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Neuroscience.
He then relocated to Manhattan, NY, in order to attend the State University of New York College of Optometry, where he earned a Doctor of Optometry, and graduated as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society, a membership he maintains to this day.
During his time at the State University of New York College of Optometry, Dr. DeNinis completed training rotations at the Northport VA Medical Center in Northport, NY, at the East New York Diagnostic and Treatment Center in Brooklyn, NY, at the University Eye Center, Manhattan, NY, and at OMNI Eye Services of Atlanta in Atlanta, GA. His training at these locations emphasized the management of ocular disease, emergency/urgent/referral care, pre/post-operative care and specialty contact lens fitting.
Dr. DeNinis is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society, the American Optometric Association, and the New York Optometric Society. He is licensed to practice to the fullest extent of the law in NY, PA, FL, and SC.
Following the conclusion of his training, Dr. DeNinis returned home to the Upstate NY region to pursue practice with a large local hospital/medical group.
Dr. DeNinis recently relocated to Bluffton, SC in January of 2021 in order to join Sungate Medical Group.
Clinically, he most enjoys the variety of challenging and complex medical cases that he has an opportunity to manage on a daily basis. He also appreciates having the chance to interact with so many different people from different backgrounds, and getting to hear about their personal stories and interests.
Dr. DeNinis has always loved the Low Country, and has been visiting as often as possible, usually multiple times a year, with his family since the time he was a child. He was, expectedly, very excited when an opportunity for a more permanent move to the Low Country presented itself. Outside of practice, Dr. DeNinis enjoys staying active through personal fitness, and by enjoying the outdoors with family and friends. He enjoys skiing/snowboarding, golfing, fishing, kayaking, surfing, mountain biking, hiking, tennis, camping, and relaxing on the beach. He is an avid NY sports fan.
